From Judo to Ju-Jitsu, from Kurash to MMA — Suchika Tariyal’s sporting journey reflects years of dedication to combat sports.
In September 2026, she made history by winning India’s first-ever Asian Games medal in MMA.
Her journey raises an interesting question: while athletes train to master physical techniques and compete at the highest level, how do they understand the fears, desires and ambitions that drive them?
Suchika Tariyal’s conversation with Acharya Prashant offers an opportunity to explore questions that go beyond sporting performance.

AcharyaPrashant#ChampionsAskAcharyaPrashant#WisdomBeyondTheRing

On October 2, during the Weekend With Master camp, Asian Games Medalist Suchika Tariyal participated in a session with Acharya Prashant. It is important to look within ourselves and understand what weakness within us needs to be overcome. He also said that hard work is not a price we pay to buy a predetermined outcome. What truly matters is continuously becoming better in the right direction; the results may follow on their own.
The conversation also touched upon important themes such as sports, struggle, and excellence. Suchika shared her intention to continue working in sports and with young athletes, especially girls, in the future.
