Some may say suicde is selfish but you have to put yourself in their position. For some, it’s the LEAST selfish thing one can do. And in that mindset it’s hard to convince a person otherwise.

I think instead of dwelling on how selfish we think they are, instead look at the world around them and figure out the “why”. Feel their pain so that you may understand, even a little. I can bet they likely thought that everyone around them would be better off.

I’d never do it myself, but I can always empathize with those that can and do because I’ve been to the edge. Not all of us are strong enough to step back and try to live another day. That’s not selfishness. That’s heartbreaking.

@grandtheftnoise Actually we do think about the people who's going to find us it's mostly what's stopped me every time. I'm assuming at some point the pain of living will probably overwhelm the urge to not traumatize whoever finds me.
