Just had conversation with a British couple who have a holiday home near us. They voted for Brexit and have made no arrangements whatsoever for what happens on Jan 1. They have now discovered the reality of their situation.
The blame apparently is with "Brussels".
Genuinely feel sorry for this young married couple.
Apparently their suitcase containing the lubricating gel, whips, little blue tablets, open crotch tracksuit trousers, flap moisturiser and anal fungus spray has been lost by British Airways.
Their honeymoon is ruined. 😔

I appreciate I have not lived in the UK for many years but we still travel there regulary and speak with British family and friends. I have not heard any of these phrases.
While The Telegraph has deemed 'picky bits' "the most revolting phrase in the English language", more Britons have a positive view of the term (43%) than a negative one (25%), with 31% neutral
Net positivity towards...

Would it be unfair to start assessing people by their contribution to society?
I'm not just talking about monetaraly but also their civic contribution, their criminal convictions, their cultural impact and providing societal benefits accordingly
To be assessed by AI so impartial
Perhaps a very, very difficult conversation needs to be had as to why some cultures succeed as immigrants and some do not. Are there inherent differences that result in differing outcomes on a generational basis?
Will not be easy to discuss this.
East Asian immigrants were targeted by the hate-filled mobs in France because they've been too successful!?!
There immigrants, many of whom arrived without French language skills yet managed to succeed and now "wear nice clothes" and "drive big cars" are being targeted.
Proof that while the same mobs first targeted Jews (many also because the French Jewish community is seen as "successful"), it never stops there and the hate simply finds new victims.
Imagine.
Perceived "success" is now a justification by leftist groups who have a disproportionate dependence on social assistance and who use the excuse that they are somehow entitled to more and more to justify their violence.
Anyone who has visited East Asian-owned businesses in France can see for themselves the hard work it takes. Long hours. Few days off (if any). Entire households pitching in (yes, that school aged East Asian kid you see doing homework behind the counter also takes phone and online orders and packs them while grandma cleans and dad greets customers).
France is one of the world's most generous welfare states spending more on public pensions, state employee salaries, and paid vacations than almost every other advanced economy. But for these entitled thugs, it's never enough and now, they want to target any community they believe has succeeded "unfairly."
Perhaps they should spend more time imitating the East Asian immigrant communities rather than burning down their businesses to see that they too can "succeed" but that would take something unfamiliar to them: hard work.

Time for the major Canadian cable firms to step up and partner up, to assist on this workaround Trump project. Those firms include Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Telus, Cogeco and Eastlink. We know cash flow is not an industry concern.
🇲🇪 Montenegro has closed three more EU accession chapters, covering economic and monetary policy, statistics, social policy and employment, bringing the total to 21 out of 33 chapters closed.
🇦🇱 Albania has closed its fourth chapter, focused on enterprise and industrial policy.

Guillaume Guérin, maire de Limoges, nous fait une visite de son Hôtel de Ville sous les décombres.
Je me refuse désormais à nommer ces gens-là d'émeutiers ou de casseurs.
Ce sont des terroristes.
🇫🇷 It is now known that the left-wing extremist responsible for burning down the historic Limoges Town Hall has been on France's terror watchlist.
34-year-old Hodei Ciarra was detained today by the elite police unit RAID.
According to the French outlet Le Parisien, he had already been registered by French intelligence as a "Fiché S" (a designation for individuals deemed a serious threat to national security) due to his ties to radical ultra-left and eco-activist movements.
Some good news. Many of those seen taking part in the Paris unrest are being identified via video cameras and the Traitement des Antécédents Judiciaires database using facial recognition software.
Arrests expected next few days.
Some hilarity in the events of the weekend.
A man who looted a shop was himself robbed outside the shop of the items he had just stolen.
He went to the police to complain and was subsequently arrested.
Just seen a young man interviewed who said he should be listened to on French social issues because,
"Look at me, I have Jordans, I have Gucci"
I remember when de Gaulle said the same,
"Character is the virtue of hard times . . . and new trainers"
