We have but cutting out Red Clover silage at home this weekend, it was sowed at the end of may.
- Make sure you check the mowing height it above the growing point the Red Clover.
- Aim for 48hr wilt
- Fertiliser: 3kg phosphorus and 25kg potassium per tonne of dry matter/ha

Good interest in fodder crops at the min as crops of silage not quite as good as other years so lads looking to bridge a potential forage gap next winter, kale is the most winter hardy & Maris kestrel is a leading kale with the highest leaf to stem ratio.
