What is your favorite architectural detail in your own home?

🌿 Buildings aren't finished when construction ends, that’s just when nature takes over. 🌿

We spotted this beautiful detail whilst surveying a project in the Lake District this past week.

🌿 A CLOSER LOOK: IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS 🌿

Following the introduction of our Lake District woodland hotel cabins project, we wanted to share a little more about the architectural details that bring this design to life.

🌲 EXCITING PROJECT ON THE DRAWING BOARD! 🌲

We are absolutely thrilled to share a sneak peek of our latest venture at Archihive. We are currently designing a series of bespoke, woodland eco Scandinavian retreat cabins for a very wellknown hotel in the heart of the Lake District

✨🌅 Soaking up the last of the golden hour in Morecambe before the new week begins. 🌅✨

There’s nothing quite like these weekend walks to clear the mind and reset the creative palette.

Batteries recharged and fully ready for a fresh week in the studio!

Happy Monday everyone!

🌿From the drawing board to the big screen! 🌿

We are thrilled to share a first look at one of our recently completed projects! This home was a joy to work on and it was exciting to see this project featured on a well known property show recently.

🌿 Architecture is often a dialogue between the indoors and the outside 🌿

This week on the drawing board, we’re exploring how a landscape-first approach can dictate the entire flow of a home.

🔦 Survey discoveries! 🔦 Navigating the tight turns and timber tones of our latest project! 🔦

The question is: do we restore this timber beauty or reimagine the circulation entirely? Let the sketching begin. ✍️

🐝 Great day exploring a new site in Manchester with the students for their upcoming design project! 🐝

Simon, who is also a design tutor at @lancsarc at @lancasteruni, managed to spot the elusive Manchester Bee!

🌿New Year, New Location! 🌿

We are thrilled to announce that we have officially moved into our new Studio!

We’re settling in and loving the new view, but we want to put your local knowledge to the test...

🏡 Can you tell where we are based on this photo? 🏡

✍️ Technology is great, but nothing beats pen and paper! ✍️

A client recently asked us: "Do you still do drawings by hand?"

Absolutely, and we do it every day.

It is often the best way to get initial ideas and concepts down on paper whilst the ideas are flowing.

🌿🌳 Wellbeing weekend walks! 🌳🌿

There's nothing better than spending time with family. Feeling lucky to live and work where we do!

🌿🏡 Planning Approved for another one of our projects in North Lancaster! 🏡🌿

This project successfully challenges what is possible when working with a non-designated heritage asset (NDHA) in a conservation area.

Have a great weekend!

🏡 Bringing sketches to life through modeling 🏡

Whilst 2D drawings and elevations form the base of our work, we know that reading a plan isn't second nature to everyone. That’s why architectural modeling can be an important step in our design process.

☀🌿 Sunlight designs the day. Artificial light designs the experience 🌿☀

The best architecture doesn't just use light to see; it uses light to feel.
By playing with colour temperature and shadows, we don't just light a room, we curate emotion.
