Today’s the day: I am very happy to announce that my new book has officially been published with UCL Press!
You can download it for free from: https://t.co/7QkEQG2MgV .
I wrote ‘Nazi-Era Provenance of Museum Collections’ to offer an accessible guide to researching the history of any museum object with respect to the period 1933-45. It contains a historical overview of the Nazis’ campaign of looting, explores the context in which provenance research takes place today, and introduces the key research strategies and resources that can be used to research any museum collection.
This book would not have been possible without the generous support of the David Berg Foundation and the Gilbert Trust for the Arts. I also want to express my heartfelt thanks to all my wonderful friends and colleagues at the V&A and beyond who helped me along the way, as well as the brilliant team at UCL Press who turned the manuscript into the book you see today.
I hope you’ll find this guide useful. Please do let me know what you think about it!
