@Rainmaker1973 In 1974 Lewis Thomas published, *The Lives of a Cell: Notes of a Biology Watcher*. In it he, through a series of really beautiful essays, that the cell is more complex than the body, more complex than the Earth.

And he had no idea how complex it really is.
