Every day I wake up I see a lot of hate towards EDH and who plays it. I can kinda get it if the issue is directed to Wotc printing edh cards everywhere and being the main focus, but why the hate towards who plays it?

@SauceMan_Abel The issue is that mtg mainly is that, I get it, but as you said, very difficult to say to a friend "start playing standard, Just spend 200 dollars, comes to local, spend another 10 each week, btw we'll never match and youll play with random people for 3 hours". Not very tempting

@SauceMan_Abel Oh yeah for sure, I already did agree with you, just wanted to add that even easier to let someone start to play thanks to precon. Most importantly, it seems that many fail to understand the "gathering" part of magic, where you share a game and table with your friends and play
