@ProfeDeAngelo Hw was kind of necessary, so I can definitely see the need to eliminate "regular" homework to allow for special needs homework in a less stressed space. Time for individual practice or flex hw is good though, especially if kids struggle with absorbing things.
@ProfeDeAngelo My kiddo has severe anxiety and adhd challenges, which often inhibited strong in-school performance. A tutor and eventually an IEP was needed for extra study support during the school day in HS, which was great. Harder to do well k-6, especially when it took 6 years to get eval.
@dr_alphalyrae Hadn't really thought of it. I do that sometimes if I'm contacting someone for the first time, so I should probably not looking at this thread, but I often start with "Good morning/afternoon!" My gen Z daughter also reminds me how "old" I text because I use full sentences...
