If, every time an asylum-seeker committed an atrocity, the Home Office employee who approved their application got sacked, I think we'd see a dramatic drop in approvals. Trying to think of any other jobs where an employee is so insulated from a catastrophic failure.
Govt/police/media aren't concerned about knife-maniacs on streets nor about the victims. Their main concern is that the situation presents an open goal to Reform.
Their priority is getting bereaved families to 'say the right thing'.
These bodies no longer serve the public good.
Please remember that you must not express your feelings about the Belfast atrocity until the political establishment has told you exactly how you are supposed to feel. That's how it works now.
Police have urged the public not to speculate as to the identity of the killer. The government has accused the far right of trying to stoke up division over the murder.
Hearing these phrases on a very regular basis now. They're getting worn out - I think they need some new ones.
@Billsam390@ZackPolanski@grok You want billions of private (not taxpayer) investment without then dividends paid back? Also, the state always breaks its own rules and never fines itself (what would be the point). Example, council housing is exempt from local authority licensing schemes, and in a poor state.
@ZackPolanski The Green Party has billionaire donors?
Let me guess, the Iranian Republican Guard, the KGB and that guy with the keffiyeh who sells windmills?
My God, I thought Jeremy Corbyn was bad. Zara Sultana was worse. But David Paulden (whose stage name is Zach Polanski) is really next-level horrendous. He's a spiv who lives on a canal boat and wants to take over the world's 6th largest economy.
@ZackPolanski The private sector supplies/maintains homes for people who would have lived in council houses that were never built. No Govt admits this. Instead they resent 'lining the pockets of private landlords'. Find out what happens when this becomes loss-making for private landlords.
