I kept seeing coaches unable to coach effectively in how they interact with players, running into the same problems and challenges on every roster I worked with, as well as on all the coaches' teams I've worked with.

More scrims didn't fix it. More VOD reviews didn't fix it. More game knowledge didn't fix it.

So I built a system: The 4 Pillars of Coaching for interacting with your players and team in any situation.

🏗️Pillar 1: Structure & Clarity
Providing clear standards and boundaries to have a fundamentally strong performance climate where everyone can thrive.

🔥Pillar 2: Stimulate & Motivation
Knowing what makes players get and stay motivated, what to say and when to give feedback, and when and how to give praise in a professional and human way.

♥️Pillar 3: Giving Individual Attention
Being able to adjust your coaching to the wants and needs of the player, and, even more importantly, knowing how to build a deep-trust relationship with the human behind the player to unlock their potential.
