@Mystic_kittyy @NashSevereWx It’s totally okay to do something else that distracts you if you have notifications on. Remember, it’s VERY likely that you’ll be fine. I know it’s scary, I’m the same way, but it’s okay to tune out if you have a way to get updates.

@Mystic_kittyy @NashSevereWx If it helps, there’s a 90-ish% chance nothing at all will happen that’s severe, and even within that 10%, that doesn’t mean it’ll be close. Be prepared but it’ll most likely be fine.

@jackson6583 @NashSevereWx A lot of times they’ll close out of abundance of caution, so they don’t, say, get caught out on the road in a hail storm on the way to school. That doesn’t mean that’ll happen, but better to be safe with kids on a bus.
