🫀 supra-annular transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR)- avoids LVOT issues and reliance on the annulus

👀 Early promise:
✔ATLAS trial data demonstrates consistent success, safety, no increase in afib, and substantial reduction in MR without causing LVOT issues or MS.

💡 Big picture:
Repair changed MR treatment. TMVR struggles to rely on the annulus and LVOT size. Subpar annular replacement may be next.
