🇸🇦⚡️- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia claims that the crescent moon has been spotted, and therefore tomorrow is Ramadan

NOTE: It is scientifically impossible, even with an advanced telescope and absolutely perfect weather conditions, to see the moon tonight.

NASA has also confirmed that the moon set before the sun in Saudi Arabia, and that is it physically impossible to observe the moon tonight, because it is beyond the horizon.

Update on my involuntary downgrade LHR→JFK:
@British_Airways continues to say they “cannot refund” because the ticket was issued by @AmericanAir, while AA confirms UK261 downgrade compensation must come from the operating carrier.

UK law is clear: the operating airline must pay the 75% downgrade refund.
Proceeding with CEDR + CAA.

I purchased a confirmed Business Class seat LHR→JFK and arrived on time for check-in. Despite this, I was involuntarily downgraded to Economy at the airport.

This is a long-haul downgrade subject to UK261 (75% refund of the segment), and I’m asking for proper resolution and accountability.
Unacceptable treatment for a premium fare.

Respectfully, that is incorrect. UK261 places responsibility for downgrade compensation entirely on the operating carrier.
British Airways operated the LHR–JFK flight, therefore BA — not American — is legally obligated to issue the 75% refund.
Please escalate and confirm the proper UK261 handling.
