The rise of this spiteful and proud political “Christianity” built on a sense of superiority, legalistic ideals, aesthetics, and hatred for others is really worrying to me. It worries me more when people try to distort The Gospel more than when people reject it.

I'd like to address something here. I do not condone immoral behavior involving homosexuality. Temptation isn't sin on its own, action is.

I believe that men & women were created for each other, to be united with each other as a monogamous partnership. Having attraction itself without any action following it, is not immoral. The ability to love someone regardless of gender is a great quality to have, but to act on this love- to foster it deeper than platonic, is sinful.

Be kind towards those who have same-sex attraction, love your neighbors, show them the truth and the light. Mere attraction/temptation, as long as it doesn't cause them to fall into sin, isn't something to berate them about.

Be kinder towards those who are struggling. Hateful behavior will not be tolerated here. Unless you are God Himself, you are not perfect either.

I'm going to be on a hiatus for a week. I've noticed my mental/spiritual health does better when I'm not on social media for a bit. I'll be focusing on trying to read these three books in my Bible as well. I've been praying to grow, I have my answer.
