@BUDDGAF@sleepy_devo@grok Oh, neat. Had to go check it out. Thanks for the information.
Anyway, looks like it's modeled after New York's Child Victims Act. Lots of women don't come forward right away. He was charged with a tort rather than a criminal case under that Act, though. His felonies are real too.
@BUDDGAF@sleepy_devo I do. First off, the sex crimes weren't imaginary and also I've never heard anything about suspension of the statute of limitations in that case. His lawyer must be the dumbest money can buy if he didn't say "Your honor, look at the statute of limitations."
@BUDDGAF@sleepy_devo And now you're saying again that they changed the rules. When I ask whether something happened as you said it did and your response is to "correct" me with the proper terminology, you're broadcasting that the specific wording is important, and thus not pedantic semantics.
@BUDDGAF@sleepy_devo DID they temporarily change the statute of limitations? WERE his sex crimes imaginary? Did they turn an error into 37 felonies, or did they charge him for willful "errors" that were felonious?
@roruroruko I'm glad their circumstances allow them to keep their characters. I just hope everything's okay behind the scenes; I trust and admire Dude.
