Parents, but particularly white parents, talk to your kids about #race, #racism, & current state of the world NOW. They are ready & paying attention. Below are texts with my 10 y/o daughter after she saw posts on TikTok and Adopt Me. #WhiteParents#AntiRacist#WhiteSupremacy
We talk to our black and brown boys and tell them to comply, just comply so you can live to see another day and somehow death seems to find them in the hands of police. And we cannot even mourn and protest the loss without threats to our lives or seen as violent. They want peace!
Those who have privilege need to stop being uncomfortable and speak out on a conversation that is hurting the whole world. No change will happen if people are to afraid that their image will be “damage”. #BlackLivesMatter#GeorgeFloyd#SocialWork

This is one of many ways to be heard! I learned in my Policy class that writing a letter may seem like a little thing but in reality it shows those who have power that the community is wanting change for the better. It is concress and federal job to listen #SUSocialWork
A2: #NASW routinely writes comments, statements and letters to Congress and federal agencies. You can find these documents at https://t.co/JzNn0Zb7IL #MacroSW
This is wonderful! Us social work students are committed to helping those in need but as mention we get into debt with education. We too need someone who will speak for our needs. #SUSocialWork
A2: #NASW knows #socialworkers must have advanced degrees & #studentloan debt can be heavy. Salaries are sometimes too low. We are working to preserve the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program through the #PSLF Coalition https://t.co/CIRnRaFD8o #MacroSW
