@apadillafilm6@AOC Aunque naciera en la luna.Being Boricua isnt about a place of birth its about cultura a sense of self & identity that runs deep in our veins & beats loud AF in our ❤️. Dismissing the Diaspora & the love for OUR island is to shit on the sacrifices of those who came before us.
The saddest form of success is realizing that the goals you achieved weren't yours at all.
In the short run, pursuing other people's dreams earns approval. In the long run, it's a recipe for regret.
A meaningful purpose doesn't maximize your status. It matches your values.
Wow!Speaking as a Latina, our community must also face some truths and be willing to break the cultural & religious yokes that keep us from embracing & fighting for our LGBTQ and trans community. We can’t keep pretending this isn’t an issue while families suffer, many in silence.
I hope you’ll watch this powerful speech by @DwyaneWade and @itsgabrielleu. This is what it means to show up for your child—and for all of our children.
Zaya, I’m so proud of you. You’re an inspiration for us all. ❤️
@MeghanMcCain OMG would you just stop! You are using these people to sound relevant!Like you care! You think we don’t know about the moron who bragged about reducing regulations that led to this. I didn’t hear you bitch this much for Flint or the 3,000+dead in ur hubby’s patria of PR. #faketears
This is the kind of history that they don’t want us to tell. But we must so that it doesn’t happen ever again. How infuriating that in this country many still treat Puerto Ricans as second class citizens while reaping the benefits of their sacrifice. #prstrong
The U.S. launched a racist eugenics program in Puerto Rico in the 1930s — sterilizing about one third of Puerto Rican women by 1976, many forced or coerced.
It was just one chapter of U.S. colonial eugenics programs and medical experiments targeting women of color. 🧵(1/8)
@jesse_bhad@Ryco_Skate@MercuryZa2 @codeForTweets @Olas_Truth Cardi is just as black as any Jamaican Haitian Cuban Dominican and Puerto Rican with African roots. The US didnt have a monopoly on slavery.40% of slaves were sent to the https://t.co/0iID5fOLuk speaking Spanish doesn’t make us any less black.
@Allcats67 @ggreenwald Exactly. And it’s that diversity that makes this country great. So even if you disagree with their opinions it’s important to never question a person’s integrity or authenticity. Your lived experience may be different but is no less valid and neither is AOCs. God bless you!
@annie_hartnett My son at 1 1/2 started with a red sharpie on paper and ended up drawing a “beautiful”border across my dining room, foyer, and living room hardwood floors. Thank god for google. He’s 19 now and it’s one of my favorite stories to tell. It does get funnier as the years go by.
"I had a member of the Republican caucus threaten my life and the Republican caucus rewarded him with one of the most prestigious committee assignments in this Congress."

We need to see more of this in our daily news. We can get jaded by the negativity that we see and come to believe that we have lost our way as a country. Then this proves that the good always outweighs the bad. Thank you ☺️
