@ZacheryDew SOME riggers have a problem with a vtuber adding a new outfit to their rig, I do not personally.

The main concern is if someome were to distribute those source files, anyone could look into them and steal your work.

Why is it hard for rigger to hand off the CMO file?

This is an education video on why rigger usually don't hand off their cmo files casually

I do disagree on leaving and ghosting client but for this specific reason i think i need to post this to make everyone understand the standing of the riggers

So I don't really agree with this! Giving out source files for vtuber models can allow someone to copy that model. I do not think it should just be included in every purchase.

I DO think it's a good idea to give the option to purchase it, though! NO, not at 100%+ of the base $$$

Riggers if I'm paying you to rig my model that file should also go to me. I PAID FOR IT. it is MY MODEL.

Like what is this industry ? I pay THOUSANDS of dollars to not own the file of my own rigged model ????

@Tropiquette I draw it all out on separate layers first! It helps me go back and fix mistakes if I find them later or if I decide I want to rig something differently, I can adjust easier c:

@PikkyVTuber @NomuraAkane Unless a platform like vgen wants to 'hold on' to those files, I'm not sure there's a single answer to this problem.
Though, seeing how many people are worried about this issue has prompted me to update my commissions to allow the source file for a fee- and NO, NOT 100%+ OMG

@PikkyVTuber @NomuraAkane If you give the source files to someone, that secret can be given out. It's just a protection thing for the rigger
However, it definitely sucks to be on the other side of this and potentially have no help in the instance of your rigger poofing.

I think that 20% - 30% is fair!
I'll be adding this option to my model forms on vgen. I never intend to ghost my vtuber babies, but I don't want them to feel like they're unprotected, either.
I just don't think this should be 'forced' onto riggers

I personally have monetized content in my base pricing, but you would use this for a couple reasons!

People using the art for thumbnails, content in a video, for their banner, so on. Anything where someone is getting money where the art is used. Nothing wrong with adding a fee!
