AIBOC–AIBEA Led UFBU: Called Off strike in midnight , Bankers Left in the Lurch! 🤡
Unions staged the drama. HR is in a coma. Casual Leave is in casualty. Is harassment becoming the new HR policy?
Sunday work confusion, strike marked, notices issued, yet issues remain unresolved!
Management blames officers. Union leadership walks away. Bankers pay the price. Both must be held accountable.
Block Casual Leave on HRMS, then issue explanation letters for not marking attendance. What a management masterstroke!
Similar concerns across banks following the AIBOC-led UFBU strike cancellation raise serious questions about leadership and accountability.
@PSBIndOfficial — Fix the system. Review the notices. Ensure fairness.
When management fails to act and union leadership fails to deliver, who stands up for the bankers?

Dear Comrades,
The fight for Five-Day Banking must not be seen merely as a struggle for implementation of an agreement that has remained pending for more than 30 months. This is a fight for our existence, our dignity, our families and our fundamental right to a humane working life.
Public Sector Bank employees serve far more customers than our private-sector counterparts. Even with private banks accounting for a substantial share of the banking market, it is overwhelmingly the Public Sector Banks and their employees who carry the burden of Government-sponsored schemes, financial inclusion, social-sector banking and the last-mile delivery of public policy.
We work for institutions owned by the people and for a Government that expects us to reach every citizen. We have never shied away from that responsibility. But those who expect us to serve the nation must also recognise one simple truth:
We are not robots. We are not machines. We are not AI tools. We are human beings.
We have families waiting for us, children who need our time, parents who need our care, and lives beyond targets, reviews, late-night meetings and relentless workplace pressure.
We are not asking for privilege. We are asking for dignity, balance and justice.
The growing culture of excessive working hours, constant pressure and an increasingly toxic work environment cannot become the new normal. Five-Day Banking is one important step towards restoring humanity to our workplaces.
Save the banker. Save the banking family. Respect the commitment already made.
Five-Day Banking is not a luxury.
It is not an unreasonable demand.
It is a just demand whose time has come.
Let us stand together, for ourselves, for our families and for the generations of bankers who will come after us.
Five-Day Banking is For Dignity. For Family. For a Humane Workplace.
March ahead with courage and unity for the three-day strike from 28th to 30th September and make it a resounding success. No fear, no threat and no intimidation can weaken our collective resolve. Officers and employees stand together , we are all strikers in this historic struggle.
General Secretary

Continuing dissatisfaction among bank employees will lead to more significant actions if 5-day banking isn't implemented immediately. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.
Our demand is just. The delay is not.
#5DayBankingNow #AIBOC @PMOIndia
The upcoming demonstrations are a clear signal; bank employees are serious about receiving the 5-day banking commitment now. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.

The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

Adapting the PLI scheme in accordance with collective agreements symbolizes collaboration necessary for growth in our sector! #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/JdWgWVrZ0F
The financial benefit from PLI schemes should accurately represent the collaborative, collective performance of the entire bank. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia

The PLI scheme should incentivize based on mutual success; it cannot exclude the majority of workforce away from equity. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
