Pan-African infrastructure developer, Arise IIP aims to drive socioeconomic growth through sustainable industrial ecosystems, for now & for generations to come.
@TheEconomist recently wrote about the global rise of Nigerian fashion and the economic gap it has yet to close.
That gap is what we work on. GDIZ towels on shelves in Wuse Market, Abuja. A border crossed.
Yes, fashion opens doors. Industry, though, keeps them open.

💼 Africa doesn’t have a jobs crisis. It has a transformation challenge.
Every year, over 10 million young Africans enter the labour market. But most economies remain centred on raw material exports, generating little industrial employment and limited skills transfer.
At ARISE IIP, we see this as an opportunity. By building industrial ecosystems where raw materials are processed locally, we don’t just increase value, we increase jobs. Real jobs. Skilled jobs. Jobs that build careers, not just incomes.
In every zones we operate, we encourage the creation of vocational training centres to close the gap between ambition and opportunity.
Together with host governments and our hlobal partners, we’re shaping future-ready industries, empowering people, and laying the groundwork for sustainable, inclusive development.
Africa’s demographic dividend will not be won in extractive sectors. It will be won on factory floors, in logistics corridors, and through industrial innovation.
We do not just want to talk about employment, we want to build systems that deliver it.
💼 Mobilising private capital to support Africa’s industrial development.
On 24 June, Amit Agarwal, Chief Operating Officer at ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms, will take part in the EY webinar “Enabling private capital for Africa’s development goals.”
He will outline how Special Economic Zones (SEZs) contribute to Africa’s dual industrialisation, across manufacturing and agri-processing, by:
🔸De-risking investment through ready-to-operate zones, pre-secured land, and one-stop shops;
🔸Enabling blended finance models that attract institutional and development capital;
🔸Supporting job creation, local value addition, and green industrialisation, with 95% of ARISE IIP’s turnover already generated within Africa.

⛓️ Steel and aluminium are the backbone of modern industry. But where are they processed in Africa?
In 2023, the continent accounted for just 1.26% of global crude steel output, a clear sign of untapped potential and the pressing need for integrated local value chains.
In Togo, the shift is underway.
At the Plateforme Industrielle d’Adétikopé (PIA), developed by the Government of Togo and ARISE IIP, a 30,000 sqm zone is dedicated to the transformation of imported raw materials into finished aluminium products for the construction sector: doors, windows, and other essential components.
A second 30,000 sqm zone is currently being developed to host a new steel industry, a further step towards reducing the national import bill, strengthening industrial resilience, and creating skilled jobs.
By importing raw material and processing it locally, Togo builds more than structures, it builds sovereignty.
🇹🇬 Clean. Circular. Competitive. Made in Togo.
🇨🇭 Forging industrial dialogue between #Switzerland and #Africa
ARISE IIP took part in the inaugural edition of the Swiss-African Business Day under its new format, a key platform designed to foster structured exchanges between public and private sector leaders from both regions.
Held under the patronage of SECO and with the support of Afreximbank, the event focused on: “Leading the way: the role of national private sector organisations in fostering an enabling business environment on the African continent.”
🎙 During the opening session, our CEO Gagan Gupta highlighted the importance of strengthening local value chains through the transformation of raw materials as a lever for sustainable and export-oriented industrial development.
The dialogue happened also during the Afreximbank – Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) Swiss Roadshow. ARISE IIP, represented by Romain V. Deniel, Country Manager-DRC, joined Afreximbank EVP Mrs. Kanayo Awani for a series of strategic meetings with Swiss companies operating in industry, energy, and technology.
🤝 These discussions reflect ARISE IIP’s vision for long-term industrial ecosystems powered by local transformation.
🌱 Rethinking industrial development with sustainability in mind
World Environment Day is an opportunity to reaffirm a core principle of ARISE IIP: Africa’s industrialisation must be sustainable by design, not as an afterthought.
Across all our integrated platforms, environmental impact is considered from day one. That includes preserving ecosystems, implementing water recycling systems, limiting emissions, and designing infrastructure for long-term circularity.
In Gabon, Togo, Benin and beyond, we are developing industrial zones that respect ecological balance and prove that green growth is not only feasible, it is more competitive.
🔹A plastic recovery project soon to generate 1,421 carbon credits per year, the equivalent of removing 42 million PET bottles from the environment.
🔹 40% of timber waste is being reintegrated through scaled-up particle board production.
🔹 Cashew shell waste is converted into biofuel and industrial liquid, transforming residue into energy.
Because the industries of tomorrow will be built not just on scale, but on sustainability.
✨ Happy World Environment Day from all of us at ARISE IIP !

🌍 Africa Day is not just a celebration, it’s a call to action
At ARISE IIP, we believe the future of Africa lies in creating value at home. That means processing what we produce, exporting finished goods, not just raw materials, and designing industrial ecosystems that serve our people and protect our planet.
By the side of our partners and African governments, we are building the infrastructure, developing the skills, and forging the partnerships needed to power an Africa that thrives by its own design.
Today, we honour the strength, creativity and ambition of a continent that doesn’t just dream, it builds.
✨ Happy Africa Day, from all of us at ARISE IIP !
