So just a reminder if you’re miserable at a job or think you want to go somewhere else, do it. They don’t care about you. You’re not a loss to them. They’ll always figure out a way to replace you. You do you, don’t feel guilty for leaving a company.

Sooo my hospital has decided to give out large retention bonuses ONLY to select areas and it might be the biggest fuck you I’ve seen in a while. Our staffing already sucks so I can only imagine how great it will be when word spreads about this one 😒

All I can think about it how during the peak of Covid I was charging an unit, taking 6 patients (on day shift) and half the time the unit clerk since it was an overflow area. And how apparently that means nothing to them. 😡

Our float pool opened up an CNL position. I applied as I had some interest and didn’t want someone who didn’t work float coming into it. Well I got offered the position and now I’m terrified of being in a leadership role. Help?! Pros/cons?! I haven’t taken the job yet.

Update now multiple days this week we are reporting 3000+ cases yet our governor still won’t mandate wearing mask or shut us back down! Money is more important than life (is what not doing those simple things means)

Welp AZ opened back up too soon&here we are with 1500+ reported cases today.Yet people in my life think going out to dinner is a great idea. I fucking can’t with people. And their “it’s so hard to just stay home”. I’ve been home since March..you don’t think I get how hard it is?!

So I think we all can admit there are disparities in the healthcare white people vs Black people receive I want to better educate myself on this so I can be a better advocate for my minority patients. Does anyone have resources for this they could share with me?
