SOCIETY MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THE SUFFERING OF MEN

Recently, Justice B.V. Nagarathna remarked during a legal seminar that “we do not conduct seminars for men.”

At a time when the suffering of men is often dismissed on the grounds that their numbers are supposedly too small, Ekam Nyaay Foundation is working to bring their ordeals into the public discourse.

In the absence of comprehensive official data on crimes against men, their experiences often remain undocumented, making it easier for society to overlook their struggles.

At Ekam Nyaay, we document cases of husbands who have lost their lives to murder or suicide, seeking to highlight a crucial concern: the absence of adequate data does not mean the absence of suffering.

emphasised that it is high time society acknowledged the suffering of men instead of dismissing their pain and struggles.

Every life matters. Every voice deserves to be heard. And justice must recognise suffering, regardless of gender.
