I think health is really an overlooked sector in Nigeria, and it shows in different facets. Everyone wants to be seen pretending to provide a solution to that problem, but no one wants to invest in the preventive options on the table.
Being fit is not all about being fat or slim; you can be slim and still unfit and unhealthy (a story for another day).
Do you think it’s coincidental that our life expectancy as Nigerians is pegged at an atrocious 55 years?
The little habits that kill you slowly every day. Habits ranging from food quality to sleep quality, mobility, etc.—are the things Fitness Space has tried to educate and sensitize our people about.
It’s okay if you don’t understand the niche and how it has become a huge global problem (market) and not just a Nigerian issue @SEDCgov@SEVCP_SEDC that needs our solutions.
I’m here to confidently tell you that you may have overlooked this problem and how the scarcity of culture-fit solutions has pushed many people down that rabbit hole of despair. My team and I will continue building because we have even more to prove to you in the next year.
Kudos to all the brilliant winners and the not-so-deserving ones. The future of the South East is bright.
~Peace
