This truck loaded with fresh vegetables went off the road and got stuck on the roadside, with its wheels trapped in the grassy area beside the road. There was no crane available in the area to pull it out. If the truck remained stuck for too long, all the fresh vegetables would spoil, causing the driver a huge financial loss.

The driver explained his situation to the local people living nearby and told them how important it was to get the truck back onto the road as soon as possible.

After hearing his story, the locals stepped forward to help. They tied long ropes to the truck, and nearly 300 people pulled it together, managing to get the heavily loaded truck back onto the road in less than five minutes.

The truck driver could hardly believe his eyes when his truck was finally out. He was extremely happy that these people had saved him from suffering a huge loss.

There is incredible power in unity. A task that might have required a crane was accomplished by nearly 300 people working together in just a few minutes.

My first reaction?
“This must be AI. It cannot be real.”

I checked. It was real.

In our traditions, nothing is random.

Every weapon has meaning.
Every Mudra has meaning.
Every Vahana has meaning.
Even the direction of a deity matters.

An idol is not a decorative prop.
Prana Pratishtha is not theatre.

The form carries the Bhava.
The Bhava shapes the worship.
The worship invokes the sacred presence.

Now look at this installation.

Devi sits in meditation.
Eyes wide open.
Not one divine weapon.
Just a lotus in her lap.

Where are Durga’s Trishul and sword?

Below her sits a dark, horned figure.
Facing devotees.
Not Devi.

A pointed, weapon-like shaft rests across his hands.
Behind him, a cobra.

Two lions sit beside him.
Relaxed.
Motionless.
Passive.

Neither attacks the Asura nor defends Devi.

Who looks powerful?
Who looks disarmed?

Organisers call him Mahishasura.

Fine.

Where is Mahishasuramardini?

In Devi Mahatmya, Devi fights Mahishasura.
Her weapons strike.
Her lion joins the battle.

Here, the image feels reversed.
Mahishasura sits comfortably.
Almost as if in control.
Devi sits silently behind him.

Not the Durga iconography I know.

The horned figure evokes dark imagery for me.
Something seen in Occult Rituals.
Something connected to European Secret societies

Now look at Devi’s neck.
Those marks resemble cracks.

Cracks or surface flaws?
Investigate.

A damaged consecrated Murti can raise questions of Murti Dosha.

Was this image ritually consecrated?
Which Acharya approved it?

Now connect the symbolism.

An unarmed Goddess.
An undefeated Asura.
A weapon in his hands.
Passive lions. A hooded snake.
Possible cracks on Devi.
And then 19 deaths.

I cannot dismiss this imagery.
To me, it feels deeply inauspicious.
That is my interpretation,
not proof of a supernatural cause.

But believers deserve answers.

Who designed and sculpted this?
Who approved the iconography?
Who funded the installation?
Were traditional priests consulted?
Was another idol consecrated?
Why choose this symbolism?

Follow the design.
Follow the funding.
Follow the decision-makers.
Not merely press releases.

ন্যারেটিভের যুদ্ধে আপনারা হেরে বসে আছেন।

এই যুদ্ধটা আপনারা হেরে গেছেন.... ডিয়ার বঙ্গ বিজেপি.....

কুড়ি বছর পিছনে যান। রাজ্যে তখন আলিমুদ্দিন স্ট্রিটের রাজত্ব। একটি ফোন গেলেই থানার বড়বাবু থেকে কলেজের প্রিন্সিপাল, সবাই সোজা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে পড়ত। সেই সময়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আপনি সাহস করে একটি আরএসএস-এর বুকস্টল দিতে পারতেন ? দক্ষিণপন্থী প্রকাশনীর একটি বই রাখতে পারতেন যেখানে লেখা আছে - পশ্চিমবঙ্গে সমাজতন্ত্রের নামে লুটতন্ত্র, ভারতে কমিউনিস্টদের অত্যাচারের ইতিহাস, ফ্যাসিবাদ আর মার্কসবাদ একই মুদ্রার এপিঠ-ওপিঠ?

পারতেন না। আপনাকে দাঁড়াতেই দিত না। কলেজের গেটের বাইরেই আপনার স্টল উল্টে ফেলে বইগুলোতে আগুন ধরিয়ে দিত। অনুমতি চাইতে গেলে প্রিন্সিপাল হেসে বলত, ক্যাম্পাসে সাম্প্রদায়িক বইয়ের জায়গা নেই। চৌত্রিশ বছর যারা দেখেছে, তারা জানে, বইয়ের স্টলের অনুমতিটুকুও মিলত না, প্রতিবাদ করা তো দূরের কথা। তখন বই পোড়ানোটাই ছিল ওদের কাছে বিপ্লব।

আর আজকের চিত্রটা দেখুন, ঠিক উল্টো। আজ তারাই সেজেছে বইপ্রেমী। তারাই ফেসবুকে গলা ফাটিয়ে কাঁদছে - বিজেপি নাকি বই সহ্য করতে পারে না, আরএসএস নাকি বুকস্টল ভাঙছে। যারা সারাজীবন লাইব্রেরি থেকে বই সরিয়েছে, লেখককে জেলে ভরেছে, প্রকাশককে ভাতে মেরেছে, তারাই আজ বাকস্বাধীনতার ধ্বজাধারী। আর আপনারা সেই গল্পটাই গিলতে বাধ্য করছেন এখনকার প্রজন্মকে। এটাই ওদের নৈতিক জয়।

এই ন্যারেটিভের যুদ্ধে সিপিআইএম আপনাদের থেকে একশো বছর এগিয়ে। কারণ ওরা বুদ্ধি দিয়ে চলে। ওরা জানে, ক্ষমতা দখলের আগে মগজ দখল করতে হয়। আর মগজ দখল হয় বই দিয়ে, পত্রিকা দিয়ে, কবিতা দিয়ে, গল্প দিয়ে। ওরা বছরের পর বছর ধরে নিজেদের লেখক পুষেছে, প্রকাশককে টাকা দিয়েছে, তাদের বই স্কুলের লাইব্রেরি থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিলেবাস, সর্বত্র ঢুকিয়েছে।

আর আপনারা কী করেছেন? আপনারা যারা নিজেদের জাতীয়তাবাদী বলেন?

বুকে হাত দিয়ে বলুন তো, এই বাংলায় কতজন জাতীয়তাবাদী লেখক নিজের পকেটের টাকা খরচ করে, অপমান সহ্য করে, হুমকি সহ্য করে বই লিখে যাচ্ছে, তাদের খবর আপনারা রাখেন? শিবশঙ্কর দার মতো কতজন প্রকাশক, যারা বছরের পর বছর ধরে লোকসান সহ্য করেও জাতীয়তাবাদী বই ছেপে যাচ্ছে, তাদের পাশে আপনারা কজন দাঁড়িয়েছেন?

এই যে ছোটদের জন্য ছড়ায় ছড়ায় রামায়ণ বইটা আমরা করলাম। বারবার বলেছি, প্রচার করেছি,কারণ শিশুমনে ছোট থেকেই সংস্কৃতি প্রবেশ করে। হ্যাঁ, দু-একজন ফোন করে উৎসাহ দিয়েছেন, কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত কজন এগিয়ে এসেছেন বইটা ছাপাতে, কিনতে, নিজের বাচ্চার হাতে তুলে দিতে? আপনারা দুর্গাপুজোয় কোটি কোটি টাকা উড়িয়ে দিচ্ছেন লাইট, প্যান্ডেল আর আত্মপ্রচারে, কিন্তু একটি জাতীয়তাবাদী শিশুসাহিত্যের জন্য আপনাদের পকেট থেকে একশো টাকা বেরোয় না।

এইভাবে যুদ্ধ জেতা যায় না।

আপনারা নিজেরাই বামপন্থীদের মুখগুলোকে পুষবেন। তাদের লেখা বই কিনবেন,তাদের জন্য পয়সা খরচ করবেন, তাদের জাতীয়তাবাদী শিবিরে জায়গা করে দেবেব,তাদের বুদ্ধিজীবী নিজেদের পত্রিকায় লেখাবেন, আর নিজেদের ঘরের ছেলেমেয়েগুলো, যারা রক্ত জল করে বই ছাপছে, তাদের বইগুলো লোকসমাজে নিয়ে আসার দায়িত্ব নেবেন না। শুধু বড় বড় বাতেলা মারবেন।

শুনুন, বামপন্থীরা বইকে বানিয়েছে অস্ত্র, আর আপনারা বইকে বানিয়ে রেখেছেন শখ। ওরা বই দিয়ে ক্ষমতা দখল করার নতুন পন্থা অবলম্বন করেছে,আর আপনারা তাদের নিজেদের শিবিরে জায়গা করে দিয়েছেন।

যদি সত্যিই লড়তে চান, তাহলে কান্নাকাটি বন্ধ করুন। নিজের ঘরের প্রকাশককে বাঁচান। জাতীয়তাবাদী লেখকের বই কিনুন, দশ জনকে কিনতে বলুন।

না হলে এই ন্যারেটিভের যুদ্ধে আপনারা শুধু হারবেন না, আপনারা মুছে যাবেন,কারণ নতুন প্রজন্ম ৩৪ বছর দেখেনি।
