In the run up to the Christmas 2025, India has seen an increasing number of attacks on Christian minorities; their institutions, houses of worship, their priests and patrons. In fact, poor vendors-not from the Christian community-selling Christmas accessories to make their ends meet have been attacked as well.

Even as the rest of the country recovers from these events, Kolkata remains true to its Christmas culture. Not just the grandeur of Park Street. It is true for the quintessential Anglo-India ln Christmas celebrations of Bow Barracks as well.
