Recently tried using GPT-5.6 Medium to write a few articles, and I’m genuinely impressed.

It understands context, writes naturally, and even lands jokes without sounding painfully AI-generated.

Whatever tuning OpenAI gave it, it worked.

Claude Opus 5 has been out for barely two hours, and it’s already making me rethink my model lineup.

I gave it tasks I’d normally reserve for Fable 5 or GPT-5.6. It didn’t just solve them. It caught its own mistakes, found subtle gaps, and improved the output without being asked.

We've resolved an issue where Fable was not selectable as a model within https://t.co/FiDD5WA3ik or Claude Code for a 30 minute period.

You may need to restart Claude Code. If Fable is not your default model afterwards, you should reselect it with /model.
