Don't you guys think it's smarter to hear someone out if they say there's a problem with harassment? Maybe they're right. That sort of thing is not something to take lightly or ignore. Consider how many people have taken their own lives because it became too much for them?
Besides, if you're going to go out of your way to say rot like "nobody is interested in books anymore", I think it says more about you than it does our kids who are starving for imagination and knowledge while their parents just plop a device in front of them and call it a day.
"How many kids today are reading books?"
Real question: how many parents are actually bothering to take their kids to bookshops, devote time to read them bedtime stories, and gift them books instead of an ipad?
The issue isn't a lack of interest, it's emotional detachment.
I'm quite relieved that I'm not so active here because, by God, some of you people are shockingly lacking in self-control. How emotionally numb do you have to be to be so troublesome to others for wanting and trying to fulfill a purpose? It's bad behavior and a bad look for you.
Unfortunately my surprise project won't be ready for this upcoming weekend, but that's okay: there's room for improvement and I see if I can make it more exciting for the Fall convention.
Started a new project that I hope to complete in time for display at the Edison train show this summer. Fans of Thomas & Friends and Shining Time Station won't want to miss this!
Managed to get a shot of the DJ Models Wilbert alongside the Modelu figure of the Rev. W. Awdry at Ffarquhar. Note: both these belong to the Awdry Study collection. While I do have my own models, I did not bring them with me this trip.
about in the future. Enjoyed seeing the showcases and displays, the Ffarquhar Branch is always a pleasure to see and it was nice to see the Mid Sodor Railway for the first time! Certainly imparts inspiration for personal modeling projects, which I hope to present in the future.
Had a lot of fun this weekend at the Extravaganza. It was wonderful to see such dedication for this event, both from the curators and the visitors. While sad that it is the last one for a while, it's far from being the absolute final and I look forward to seeing what'll come...
