#grillingwithzin #legendaryzinvineyards It took me a while to fire up the BBQ, but I smoked some ribs. Gold Mine Ranch planted in 1912 in west Dry Creek Valley. 100% Zinfandel, which is uncommon in older Zin vineyards.

@BWRusselll The Tina's Block 2-acres is the most "field blendy" block in Maple with only about 80% Zinfandel and 20% other. The rest of Maple is only 5-8% field blend at most, and mostly Petite Sirah. #legendaryZinVineyards

We get the Tina's Block (2-acres) and also about 14 other acres. I usually have plenty of amazing fruit to work with. I'll pick over a 2 week span and try to do my "blending" in the vineyards.

I love these #legendaryZinVineyards during budbreak. The contrast of the old-vines with the new buds is awesome. Maple Vineyards has other varietals besides Zinfandel inter-planted in the blocks. The different varietals will "awaken" at different times. 🧐🧐
