Hold onto your hats… 🌪️
Rolling into the world at full speed, introducing Whirlwind Armitage, a bay colt by Chapter Seven out of Midwind Dolce, born May 6th!
From the second he hit the ground, this boy has been nothing but wind, wiggles, and wild ideas. If chaos had four legs and a cute little star, it would probably look a lot like him😅
We’re already forecasting a strong chance of zoomies, dramatic exits, and stealing hearts wherever he goes. Welcome to the world, Whirlwind Armitage! 🌪️🩵

Meet the youngest (and arguably most important) member of the Armitage Farm staff; Laena 💗
Her daily duties include morale boosting, grass quality inspections, and making sure every barn cat gets proper attention 🐾 She takes her job of cheering up her mom, Jackie, and her manager, Tim very seriously… and honestly, she’s overqualified for it.
We’re still working on her punctuality and snack break limits, but her attitude? 10/10. Would definitely hire again!

A lovely addition to the barn. Welcome, Waterfall Armitage 🤍

White Wal Armitage has entered the chat 😏
A sharp-looking bay colt by Walner out of White Cheetah, born 4/22/26; and yes, he already knows he’s the main character. Between the pedigree and that attitude, we might be in trouble (the good kind).
Stay tuned… this one’s going to keep things interesting!

Bear with me- it’s about to get a little sentimental around here.
Do you remember the first time you touched a horse? I don’t - I mean, I was less than a year old so….. I don’t remember a life without horses of every kind (thanks Mom!). I doubt the majority of us in this industry remember that first time.
What brought about this question you ask?
Last week, I had the pleasure of giving one of our Foal Naming Contest winners a tour of the farm, as well as a meet and greet with Windy Corner and Holly Hill Armitage. When Pam and Holly Hill first met – it was actually Pam’s first time close enough to touch a horse. She had never seen a foal only half a day old, much less had yearling fillies vie for her attention and try to steal her hat in a selfie.
Making moments like that happen – that’s priceless in so many ways for me, for Pam, for our horses and for our sport.
See, Pam grew up around Lexington, had been to Keenland almost every meet, even Red Mile many years ago (we need to fix that!), admired all the beautiful farms and horses from – a distance. A distance, that most of you reading this and myself, have never known.
We feel it’s time for us to close the distance (pun intended).
Because Holly Hill Armitage has a fan for life and Pam will be going back to Red Mile and following Harness Racing a little more, and, and, and.
So, we invite you to join us in a journey of firsts for our horses, a few peeks at history, a little horsey education, some laughs and wherever this path leads. Invite everybody you know and let’s make sure a lot more people experience these firsts and stay.
We are open to questions, collaborations, topic suggestions….just throw it all at us!
P.S. If you do remember- share your stories in the comments.
Holly Hill Armitage (Windy Corner by Sig Sauer)
Up to a little mischief already 😏

There’s still time to join in—send your name suggestions for a chance to win: https://t.co/n8cAkAw0KI 🐴✨
