@bcbets22@ShaunFitzzzy Could bad news be the ebay bid and the 2.5 billion share authorization? Then good news is the Q1 earnings but that was unannounced together with a $2 billion buyback program.
@TDogCali53@Roaringalpaca4@ryancohen The thing is, market was driving to all time highs and yet GME did not participate in all that move, it however participates when it is crashing. What a load of bs.
@ShaunFitzzzy@serban_o One that can immediately send would be a Modified Dutch Auction tender offer for their buyback. Even $500m to $1B to start. Please @ryancohen this could work to counter this selloff after the greatest earnings in history. Gives a great positive atmosphere heading into July 7.
@GMOSALMON99@cawcawingcrow@staypredictable They can do the same thing Gamestop did in 2019, a Modified Dutch Auction tender offer. Set a price range for the buyback even for $1Billion and have $1billion left over to do the open market buys after they complete this. This way Can cause price appreciation immediately.
@Rob_Tedesco11@jake2b Hopefully Monday pre market with more details about the $2 Billion buyback program and the 2.5 Billion share authorization up for vote.
@TheAfflixion The 2.5B authorization doesnβt need to be used right away, maybe as well as the $2B buyback. If they deem their stock valuable and believe that it is undervalued now, they can start buying back. The some of the 2.5B could be used for the half stock for acquisition.
@HeroAssange They can only buy about 25% of average daily volume. It will be slow but the buying pressure could still cause some price appreciation. Get share price high enough for when the 2.5 Billion authorization gets approved then can start selling at a higher price point.
@RealLawlessMan@GoatBeardzDD@ryancohen What do you mean buys EBAY tomorrow? I suppose next thing he can do is make the tender offer directly to shareholders?
@Tony_Denaro@ChaddSchroy They would convert at whatever the strike price for their calls would be. Effectively not having to pay $125 for the position. I suppose it would only save them a few hundred million dollars.
@Tony_Denaro@ChaddSchroy If they continue to build their position under the $125 offer price, their total cost average would be less than the full price offered per share.
