Bitwarden was bootstrapped for years and raised that $100M in 2022 (Series C, not seed). They weren’t a one-person LLC in a niche like firearms data.
I don’t fear competition; I fear spending my limited time and money chasing license violators instead of building the product.

I am eagerly awaiting your open source product.

@poiu477 keys are encrypted server side using the users passphrase. Even if we we were subpoenaed and gave up all ciphertext and encrypted keys they'd have to brute force 80+ bits of entropy. Good luck with that.

@UtahFlatRanger corrosion resistance isn't as good, may burn off faster, may have additives that are detrimental (unwanted residues), and it isn't formulated for fouling and powder residue. Fine in a pinch, not great long term or for storage because of the risk of rust

Save firearms, accessories, and parts you're eyeing to a unified wishlist. Track estimated prices, priority levels, and product links — then add items to your collection with a single tap. The form pre-fills with everything you've already entered so you don't have to type it twice.

- Hero photos: Full photo management with upload, reorder, and hero selection

- Detail view: with stat cards, item information, and photo gallery

- One-click add to collection: Converts a wishlist item into a real firearm, accessory, or part with fields pre-filled

- Type-specific fields: Caliber, action, barrel length, and capacity for firearms; accessory type and quantity for accessories; category, compatibility, and quantity for parts

- Dashboard cards: Wishlist overview showing item counts and values by type, plus a high-priority items card listing your most wanted items
