We cannot allow Ukraine to lose. The free world must be more aggressive and creative in giving Ukrainians the means to push back Putin's invading army.
Grateful to @POTUS and 🇺🇸 people for supporting 🇺🇦 in the fight for our freedom and future. Today's signing of the law on Lend-Lease is a historic step. I am convinced that we will win together again. And we will defend democracy in Ukraine. And in Europe. Like 77 years ago.
A stunning exchange between @RandPaul & @SecBlinken
Paul implies that Russia is justified in attacking Ukraine because, UKR was once part of the USSR. By that logic Britain is justified in attacking the U.S. and colonial powers their former holdings. What century does he live in?
Like the heroic victory in the Battle of Kyiv, Ukraine must now prevail again in the battle of Donbas. More weapons and better weapons as soon as possible!
Rep. Victoria Spartz of Indiana, who was born in Ukraine, traveled to Kyiv and its suburbs with Sen. Steve Daines of Montana on Thursday to show solidarity with Ukraine, becoming the first American officials to visit since the start of the war. https://t.co/gk8U66oi9g
#ArmUkraineNow
True words of a true leader @POTUS. Calling things by their names is essential to stand up to evil. We are grateful for US assistance provided so far and we urgently need more heavy weapons to prevent further Russian atrocities.
"Russian soldiers told them they would rape them to the point where they wouldn't want sexual contact with any man, to prevent them from having Ukrainian children." https://t.co/ho4xFAx9AY
President Biden and NATO leaders have said they are outraged by the slaughter in Bucha. Says President Zelenskyy, “They have to supply weapons to Ukraine as if they were defending themselves and their own people.” https://t.co/pjgM0b3Icy
“If we receive this [US] support in time, we will win,” Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak says. Ukraine is asking the US for additional military aid. The White House says the request was approved, but filling orders takes time. https://t.co/pjgM0b3Icy
A Russian strike on a train station in Kramatorsk, a city in eastern Ukraine, left at least 39 people dead and nearly 90 wounded, Ukrainian officials said. Platforms had been jammed in recent days with people rushing to reach safer areas in the west. https://t.co/ChZhTlkU3Y
Thank you @SenatorShaheen. Our website makes it easy for constituents to reach out to their Senators & Reps in Congress and let them know that they have your support. We must help #Ukraine and its people who are fighting for their right to live in peace. https://t.co/S4alEbtSG2
As Putin’s war in Ukraine unfolds, quickly delivering military aid to Ukraine is pivotal for it to defend itself against Russia's unprovoked attacks. My bill w/ @JohnCornyn to speed up delivering equipment to the frontlines couldn’t be more urgent. The House must act swiftly.
Almost 50 people burned alive in the Mariupol Children's Hospital, whichp was heavily shelled by russians, city mayor reports. Nearly 5,000 residents, incl 200 kids were killed during the last month there (officially). At least 40% of the city's infrastructure is unrepairable
I don't think I've ever declared I "stand with Ukraine," but regardless, it means sending military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine and sanctioning Russia in order to improve Ukraine's chances of fighting off Russia's unprovoked invasion.
