For the first time in a decade, large-calibre gun barrels will once again be made in Britain.

Thanks Armin Papperger, @wesstreeting and everyone @RheinmetallAG Telford for today's Gun Hall launch.

Industrial capacity can’t be conjured in crisis - this is a strong step forward.

It was a privilege to be asked to speak at @NorwegianArmy’s Army summit this year alongside our French and German Allies.

I also want to congratulate Lars Lervik for his vision and leadership within @NATO and his recent appointment as Chief of the Norwegian Intelligence Service.

Congratulations to Captain Sam Griffiths from 160th (Welsh) Brigade who was recently awarded a Coin for Excellence by the Chief of General Staff. The reason? For losing 50kg in weight to become a sub-elite level runner and compete in marathons around the world.

We spoke to Sam to find out about his journey, and he shared advice for others who may want to pursue similar goals in running!

Very well deserved 👏

It was great to see @GuardsReserve on a recent training evening, passionate and forward thinking as ever. I was heartened to see in person the powerful advantage the Reserves can draw from its soldiers, whose civilian backgrounds bring real breadth and depth to our Armed Forces.

Yesterday I had the honour to represent His Majesty The King at @RMASandhurst for an immaculate Sovereign’s Parade. Well done to all on parade, in particular those young Officers who commissioned yesterday and their directing staff. The real journey begins now. Serve to Lead.

[First Sea Lord Sir Gwyn Jenkins @GenGJenkinsRM]

My thoughts and prayers go out to Nims and his fellow climbers.

I know I speak for all of the UK armed forces community in hoping they are found and pull through

British troops will be better protected and more lethal on the battlefield, with an investment of up to £400M equipping the @BritishArmy with new spy drones.

TEKEVER's AR5 will replace Watchkeeper drones in a deal supporting hundreds of British jobs.

Thank you @RHChelsea for hosting me on a visit to meet the Chelsea Pensioners and see the outreach programme. The support and care they provide for veterans is outstanding, while the heritage and tradition weaves it into our national fabric. Such an institution makes us all proud

Earlier this week I visited @royalwelshshow to meet Welsh regular and reserve soldiers, cadets, veterans and industry partners, to say thank you and celebrate the relationship between Wales and the Army. This connection really matters, and the show truly epitomises this. Diolch!

[The Chief of the General Staff @ArmyCGS]

Immensely grateful to the @royalartillery1 for hosting me today at their home in Larkhill.

I'm inspired by your attitude, approach, and application.

Outstanding work by those both in and out of uniform.

European security is being strengthened through a landmark UK-Estonia Defence Roadmap 🇬🇧🇪🇪

I just came back from London, representing Ukraine's Armed Forces.

A Ukrainian soldier at the stage, in a room full of British generals and NATO planners, and they were taking notes.

It's the most distinguished audience I've ever spoken to.

Let me tell you what happened 🧵🇺🇦

Today @DanJarvisMBE announced the @BritishArmy's £2Bn Collective Training Transformation Programme.

New kit matters. But true fighting power comes from revolutionising how we think, train, and adapt.

Poignant moment today as my old friend, Gen Chris Donahue, leaves NATO's Allied Land Command.

'CD' is a warrior-statesman who made our world a safer, better place.

The command changes, but the man doesn’t. I know he’ll never truly be off the mission. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

[Dan Jarvis MP @DanJarvisMBE]

I warmly congratulate Lt Gen Nick Perry on his deserved promotion and appointment as Commander JFC Norfolk @NATO.

Nick has made an outstanding contribution to defence throughout his very distinguished career. His command will strengthen NATO’s defence.
