Reading the reddit threads, I would like to clear up something. WOTC is not to blame for us taking a different direction. On the contrary, they really did their best and have been a great licensor for us, letting us do our thing. This is because it's what's best for Larian.

@Polygon I always found it funny in regard to Cyclops, because I always imagined that he scream and yells, while unleashing his optical blast, just because he is trying to open his eyelids as much as he can

@DiscussingFilm @Cade_Onder Yeah, this looks awful, the animations are unnatural and look bad, the enemy behavior is commical. The grabbing and pushing animation is the worst of all of this. I have a bad feeling about this game, if the story isn't good, there is no saving it.

@JediJenna @DestinyTrioInc @GamingTallen Yes, both can be true at the same time, the ReTrilogy is the definitive version, but it does not replace or rewrite the OG FF7. Nomura is clear that OG FF7 and ReTrilogy are separate entities. We have to wait and see what they have in store for part 3 in that regard.

@DestinyTrioInc @GamingTallen I meant that as that, there was OG first, then came ReTrilogy, which leads to Advent Children. Not the order of world continuity, we don't know that yet. But I get how the arrows are confusing, my bad.

@drowsyluma @DestinyTrioInc @GamingTallen No, I don't think so in regard to LOTR, but it doesn't have anything to do with FF. Both Hamaguchi and Nomura said that ReTrilogy doesn't overwrite the original, which means that the original is there, and besides it is the ReTrilogy, that leads to AC.

It could be alternative timelines or universes happening at the same time, we don't know that yet. It is certain that OG and ReTrilogy are separate entities, we just don't know "how" yet.

@GamingTallen To put it simply, it is a different game based on the story of OG FF7, and the elements/events of the story are changed. Its an iteration and expansion of that story, but it is not the story of FF7 OG.

@JamieMoranUK I really hope it will be good. Unfortunately, I have the same bad feeling that I had with Outer Worlds 2, DA Veilguard, and Avowed, and those games didn't catch me, they felt too generic in terms of story and characters for me.
