@MickEFlip It could be a cool film. It’ll essentially be Gandalf & Aragorn centric told from Gollum’s perspective. There’s supposed to be another film coming from Stephen Colbert that covers parts of the Fellowship book that they didn’t adapt in the films. Which will feature Tom Bombadil
@MickEFlip He is a producer & also a writer. The screenplay is by Philippa Boyens (who co wrote the screenplays for the LOTR films). It’s pulling from the appendices and tells a part of the story that takes place between Bilbo’s birthday party and before Frodo leaves the shire in Fellowship
@delirious7575 Have to remember that a lot of CII songs have samples and they have to list those writers & producers as well, just to put that info out there
@MrPopOfficial@PopMatters It’s such an outlier review compared to the critical consensus that has formed for well over a week about the album that it’s an outrage. So low in comparison to every other review that it caused a two point drop
Hopefully people will start appreciating the big swing that is “The Rings of Power.” Instead of milking the main LOTR storyline and de-aging all the actors. This is why Viggo Mortensen said no
Andy Serkis says "The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum" is only using AI for "some of the de-aging."
"There’s a little bit of de-aging for some of the characters and machine learning is part of the process. When you think about it, in the original “Lord of the Rings” films, Peter created MASSIVE, which was a program which allowed 1000s of orcs to all have their own individual mindset. So that is a brilliant example of an incredible use of AI. But we’re not creating AI shots in our movie, every shot is created in a traditional way. One of the things actually that I really wanted to do with this film was to bring back all of the great filmmaking skills, from miniatures to prosthetics and marry them up, because that’s my taste. I like it when you mix up different filmmaking techniques."

Laura Dern pays tribute to Sam Neill:
"Sam was my beloved lifetime friend… He showed me the depths of loyalty, protectiveness and love always with the driest of wit. A true and noble gentleman, who was wrapped up in my dream leading man. I will love you forever, Dr. Alan Grant.”
