There's a tremendous improvement in the roads construction sector since the appointment of Hon. Min.@HonByamukama to head that ministry
Special thanks to Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni for backing the son of war veteran late Mzee Karoli to freely operate without fear of favor
Works and Transport Minister @HonByamukama and State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs @gracemarymugasa are inspecting road projects in Hoima and Kikuube ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
At the 11.7km Buhimba–Kinogozi road, Byamukama commended contractor Isaac Ibanda for having equipment on site. The Sh26.7b road is expected to improve access between Kabalega Airport and the outskirts of Hoima. Work began last week and is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Byamukama also thanked residents who have offered land for the projects and said those whose homes are affected would be compensated. He urged residents to avoid politicising the road works. The ministers are expected to inspect more than five roads today. #VisionUpdates

I led Uganda’s parliamentary delegation at the World Women Parliamentarians’ Forum in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, which began today.
This forum provides an important opportunity for learning and knowledge-sharing. We shared Uganda’s achievements in advancing women’s representation through constitutional provisions, affirmative action and gender-responsive planning and budgeting. These efforts have enabled more women to take up senior leadership positions in parliament and government.
The progress we have registered over the past 40 years under the NRM Government demonstrates the value of deliberate action. However, we recognise that representation alone is not enough. Women should have meaningful influence over legislation, national budgets, development priorities and institutional decisions that shape the lives of our citizens. This is the progress we continue to work towards achieving.
I highlighted four priorities: strengthening women’s participation in parliamentary committees and other strategic decision-making structures; investing in leadership development, mentorship and capacity-building; eliminating discrimination, intimidation, violence and harassment, both online and offline; and engaging men as partners in advancing gender equality.
I thank Hon. @AdekeAnna, Hon. @KanyesigyeMerc1, Hon. @NaluyimaEthel, Hon. Kanushu Laura and Hon. Auma Linda Agnes, who joined me as part of the Ugandan delegation.
Thank you, Hon. Minister Balaam Barugahara @BalaamBarugahar and the State House Anti-Corruption Unit @AntiGraft_SH , for the continued fight against corruption in the pursuit of accountability and Expose The Corrupt.
The following officials are expected to appear in court today:
Engineer Asaph Abeinaitwe – Commissioner, Ministry of Education, USMID Roads, Isingiro District.
Engineer John Bosco Tumwebaze – District Engineer, Mitooma DLG.
Frankline Mandela – District Roads Inspector, Mitooma DLG.
Lydia Ahereza – Sector Accountant, Works.
Accountability must prevail, and public resources must be protected.
