[💬] Director Yoo In-sik shared his thoughts on the casting process and acting abilities of Cha Eunwoo

In an interview with Herald Muse, he commented on casting Cha Eunwoo:

“It was the standard choice. The image we wanted for ‘Lee Unjeong’ was mysterious and somewhat fairy-tale-like — an image untouched by the stains of the world. When he’s completely secluded, it also sparks curiosity. We needed that kind of vibe, and the offer worked out perfectly.”

He also praised Cha Eunwoo’s performance, saying:

“There’s a scene in the latter half where he sheds tears because of his own trauma, and the emotion came out all at once better than I expected. That’s a fond memory.”

Before the official release, journalists who attended the pre-screening gave high praise to Cha Eunwoo’s acting. When asked about the positive reactions to how well he embodied such a striking character, Director Yoo replied:

“I think it’s a very welcome thing. In the end, there comes a moment when only the director and the actor remain. There’s a limit to how much direction you can give, and at some point you have to trust the actor. For this role, I talked a lot about the warrior aspect. The rest of the specific expressions were something the actor had to find for himself — and then I just applaud. Cha Eunwoo asked a lot of questions and we had many conversations. We discussed a lot already from the casting stage.”

It hurts my heart every time we share the awful things Fantagio is doing to Cha Eunwoo and I start getting replies and qrts from Aroha only concerned about the group. I made a post yesterday explaining how Fantagio is planning to sue Eunwoo after his review is over, and some Aroha had the audacity to qrt me with different variations of "Free all the members from this company."

DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT???

You realize the group isn't being attacked right? The other members are posting and continuing their activities and communicating with fans. All Cha Eunwoo could do was like a post, which could've gotten him a lot of backlash btw, but he did it anyway. In fact, Cha Eunwoo ALWAYS does things that could get him a lot of backlash, but he does it anyway because of his love for those he cares about. Not everyone can have courage like Eunwoo I guess.

Eunwoo isn't just being treated poorly. He's not just going through a rough patch. I need everyone to realize that Eunwoo's reputation rn is gone. I'll repeat it. Cha Eunwoo's whole reputation in his country is GONE. His k-fans are doing all they can in the areas they know that matter, but until this tax issue is resolved, HIS REPUTATION IS GONE. Not Astro's, not MJ's, not Jinjin's, and not Sanha's. Eunwoo's. He has his international popularity, so his career won't take as hard as a hit... but Eunwoo loves his country and I can't imagine how devastated he is rn, because that's what's on the line rn.

Can he rebuild his reputation? Yes, but it's going to take time, and legal battles, and it is NEVER going to be the same for him or any of us. Even now with all the new info being released, it's NOT circulating the GP. There are no hot topics. The truth doesn't incite a mob the way the lies do. Whether Eunwoo wins or loses his review, knetz are ready to continue tearing him down, and Fantagio has the reporters waiting to spread their lies again. Fantagio has complete control of Eunwoo's voice rn and they are the ENEMY. If that doesn't upset you for EUNWOO, and your only worry is for others, then shame on you.

As fans, we try to be hopeful about the outcome and spread positivity and info, but I think some people need to open their eyes and face reality. If you don't want to, then you do you boo, but it doesn't make the reality go away. A handful of us are looking up new info 24/7, translating, researching terms and situations, so we can explain everything to you as clearly as we can. Don't disrespect the dedication and hard work of Eunwoo's fans with trying to take the focus off Eunwoo.

FOR 7 DAYS STRAIGHT THERE WAS A NEW ARTICLE EVERY 15 MIN CALLING CHA EUNWOO A TAX EVADER, A CRIMINAL, SAID HE WAS GOING TO JAIL. FANTAGIO DID NOTHING!!!! They did absolutely nothing for Cha Eunwoo while protecting KSH. Even Dispatch went to the previous location of the eel restaurant in January 2026, that had ceased operations in mid 2025, took pictures of the empty building currently under construction, and made all South Korea believe he was pretending to have a business located at a construction site. Dispatch NEVER corrected this info and the article is still up DESPITE being proven wrong.

The main person we need to be talking about is Cha Eunwoo. Cha Eunwoo is the one hurting right now. Worry about others all you want, talk about them, enjoy their content, that's not my point. But if you're an Aroha and Eunwoo isn't the first thing you're worried about when you see a post explaining how Fantagio is sabotaging HIM and only him, then you seriously need to sort out your priorities.
