@markjdykstra Agent Intellect (which may or may not be properly my own) is impassible and immortal. My reputation is not - it is vulnerable

[Aron Reppmann @AronReppmann]

@markjdykstra "Mind in this sense of it is separable, impassible, unmixed. This alone is immortal and eternal, and without it nothing thinks"

[Aron Reppmann @AronReppmann]

@markjdykstra "mind is what it is by virtue of becoming all things, while there is another which is what it is by virtue of making all ..."

[Aron Reppmann @AronReppmann]

@markjdykstra Check out his _On the Soul_ (de anima, peri psuches) book III, chs. 4-5.

[Aron Reppmann @AronReppmann]

@markjdykstra Agent intellect (that in us which thinks) is eternal, divine, etc., but very unclear whether that properly belongs to us.

[Aron Reppmann @AronReppmann]

@markjdykstra Hmmm, major controversies over this, especially at U of Paris in the 1200s.
