@ColinPike2 Unfortunately there is no entitlement - they are distributed as and when our volunteers are available. If this is a pressing concern, however, please feel free to offer your services.
@ColinPike2 No, we haven't disbanded, and we'll be making further announcements in due course about future meetings. Regarding bollards, their placement doesn't prevent parking on pavements, which we're sure would bother you if you were disabled or pushing a pram and had to take to the road.
@ColinPike2 Thank you for your valuable input. It's worth noting however that ARRA is manned solely by volunteers. If you have some time on your hands please feel free to help us with delivering newsletters.
Contrary to the rumour that ARRA has disbanded, we can categorically state that this is NOT the case! We're working hard making arrangements for future events and meetings, and we'll let you know more soon!
For various reasons we have decided to vacate our meeting facility at Charles Sumner House with immediate effect; we are currently finalising arrangements for a new place to meet. So we'll be letting everyone know about when and where in the VERY near future!
@KingstonLibDems Could you please explain how charging us more money to park will reduce air pollution? Also, if vehicles are parked then they will have zero emissions for the duration of their stay.. ergo, parking should be free.
So RBK has postponed the introduction of residents' parking permits on the estate, despite their consultation. Meanwhile, the cleverly-placed bollards are working to deter inconsiderate parking..
Our local Police are holding a drop-in session TODAY at Charles Sumner House from 6-7pm. Come along to say hello and get some information about what's happening in the area. All welcome @MPSBerrylands
Thanks to Kingston Council for organising a course on how the latest data protection laws can affect residents' associations - very informative, and lots to consider! Good to see so many other RAs attending too :-)
Please don't forget our EGM meeting is next Tuesday 29th in Charles Sumner House, Hobill Walk at 7pm. Hopefully we'll be electing several new members to the committee! Could one of them be YOU?
You can now report crime online thanks to a new online service.
This is not an automated service – each report will be triaged by an experienced call handler. https://t.co/e0bPdKmS2L
Thankyou to everyone who came to the Christmas Party today - it was a fantastic turnout! All the children - and their parents - went away happy, and probably a little tired too. Hopefully we can do it all again next year!
Hook Road, Surbiton - Emergency gas main repair underway by @SGNgas Temporary traffic lights on Hook Rd near roundabout and A3. Allow for potential delays, and consider alternative route. #Surbiton#Hook#Tolworth
UPDATE: Garage rents have risen almost 100% since this report was published. There are 123 garages on the estate, and at the end of 2017 only 85 were occupied. If they were all rented at an affordable rate that would be another 38 vehicles out of the equation!
A possible solution to the parking problem on the estate? This report was published over 4 years ago - since then garage rents have risen by almost 85% and, unsurprisingly, occupancy has fallen.
