Not only are sandworms big, awesome, and truly terrifying, but they're also sacred and holy to the Fremen.

Paul riding one, and a "grandfather" one at that, won a lot of the doubters in the Fremen and gave him his first true foothold.

In the books, it's not clear who kills Rabban. All we know is that Stilgar said he died during the Battle of Arrakeen..

final thoughts: this waa definitely a more challenging read than the first book in my eyes, despite the fewer pages this book really took a leap into the philosophy and made me think

theres a feeling of dread throughout the book that becomes stronger as it goes on and seeing-

Austin Butler's portrayal of Feyd Rautha is one of the best villain performances in recent film history.

Dropped in as a supporting character, he perfectly captured the sinister but nuanced evil of Feyd, and the execution of his choreography with Timothée as Paul Atreides was sublime 🤌
