@RavishingFury —The child insists softly, holding her arms up to the woman to be picked up.
Emerson didn’t have it in her, to make the long walk from the cafeteria to the car on her own.
@RavishingFury Emmie hopped down off the chair she’d been settled in, the toddler honestly could barely keep herself awake.
After such a long day, and it nearly being one in the morning.
Addison was just lucky the child hadn’t thrown a fit all through their awful dinner.
“Uppies, Momma.”—
@APlasticsGenius “No trouble, Mister Mark! We’ll just play and tell Momma later.”
She insists, staring up at him with wide eyes and a sweet smile.
In the hopes that it would get him to agree with her plan, despite her knowing it wouldn’t work.
[Starter for @APlasticsGenius]
Emerson had escaped yet again, this time however she was determined not to be caught.
She wandered the hospital for awhile, before deciding to go to one of the galleries.
And see if anything good was happening, cue her running in, and finding—
@RavishingFury “All done then!”
The child chirps, pushing away the tray that held the icky hospital food she had barely touched.
“Home now Momma, please?”
She whines out, nearly begging her mother to just take her home.
@RavishingFury “A surprise?”
Emmie lit up, and snuggled extra close.
Waving goodbye to all the adults she knows, as they leave the hospital.
“What kinda surprise, Momma?”
She asks curiously as she glances around at everything they pass.
@RavishingFury —awful lot.
This place was so boring, and Mister Mark was always tons of fun.
“We’ll see you tomorrow, Emerson!”
The daycare workers chirp kindly, as they hand off the child’s little backpack.
@RavishingFury Emmie giggled and squealed with glee, at the barrage of kisses.
Clinging tightly to the woman, and kissing her right back.
“Momma, I didn’t run away today!”
She cheers, hoping it earns her a bit of praise from her mother.
Although she hadn’t, she’d thought about it an—
@RavishingFury —been trying to occupy the child’s time, but she was honestly uninterested.
“Momma, momma!”
Emmie calls, as she rushed right up to the woman.
And held her arms up to her.
@RavishingFury The daycare workers smiled gratefully when Addison walked in.
Although they hadn’t had any more escape artist stunts today, it was clear Emerson didn’t want to be here.
“She was good, if a little bored… We’re trying to find things to do that are more her speed.”
They had—
@APlasticsGenius She waited patiently, until he joined her in the gallery.
A familiar little grin crossed her face, and she hopped up in the chair.
Holding her arms up to be picked up, “Hi Mister Mark!
I missed you, did you miss me? We should go play!”
She insists, hoping her bright—
@RavishingFury Emmie sighs softly, feeling content now that she was back with her mother.
She hated the long hours spent in the hospital daycare, and even more hated that she spent all day without her mother.
“Good! But I missed you too.”
