🚨Man Arrested After Attempting to Conduct Fake Traffic Stop🚨
On June 24, 2026, #teamHCSO deputies arrested Nadi Jabari, 46, for attempting to conduct a traffic stop on one of our own undercover vehicles.

Deputies observed a black Chevrolet Suburban activate red and blue emergency lights while following an undercover Sheriff's Office vehicle on U.S. Highway 301 North in Thonotosassa. Deputies quickly intervened and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, arresting Jabari for impersonating a law enforcement officer.

🚨 BLUE LASER STRIKES SHERIFF'S HELICOPTER

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office chopper was assisting Clearwater PD early Friday when a high-powered blue laser lit up the cockpit — twice.

Air crew traced the beam to its source and directed ground units to a Dunedin home.

They found Eric Gelman, 62, and recovered the laser device. He was booked for felony Misuse of a Laser Lighting Device.

Under Florida law, aiming a laser at an aircraft is a third-degree felony — not a prank. The helicopter was grounded for crew evaluation.

🚨 'EVIL VOICES' STABBING SPREE

Gregory DaSilva (26) told a doctor that "evil voices" told him to murder someone — then went on a deadly rampage through a Lauderhill apartment complex, stabbing two men to death and trying to attack a third.

The victims: Mesilien Pierre (36) and Wilford "Hotwheels" White (68), a beloved wheelchair-bound neighbor. No known connection between suspect and victims.

DaSilva was found blocks away, shirt soaked in blood, a bloody knife in his backpack. He told officers: "It was me."

🧠 Judge ordered mental health screening. Held NO BOND.

7 men arrested in Broward County after undercover deputies posed as teens online — part of a human trafficking crackdown during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

10 victims rescued, including a teen runaway reunited with her family.

The suspects showed up to a Dania Beach hotel ready to pay for sex with minors. One texted: "I could be charged as a pedophile" ... then "Haha"
