Hi. If your husband took your daughter to Adventure Science Center today (and he wears a baseball cap and a scruffy beard/goatee combo), you should know that he didn’t look up from his phone the entire time, didn’t speak to your daughter, and lost her at least 4 times. He sucks...
After giving birth, a woman's internal wounds take six months to heal, 12 months for physical recovery, two years for hormonal balance, and up to five years to rediscover her identity. Relationships frequently fail during this time due to a lack of understanding. Be kind and patient with new mothers; they are facing more challenges than it appears.
I have to lose 20 pounds, clean my room, get a new job, be more outgoing, make more friends and change my wardrobe and fix my gut issues and stop sleeping late and get a masters and meal prep and stop being myself
Just apologize to your partner when you know you messed up… All that manipulative behavior and getting mad at them for being upset when they have a valid reason is just weird. People love to say they’re grown until it’s time to take accountability.
A cheating man is bad enough.
But you know what’s even worse?
A man who pretends to be good, but in reality is a pathological liar, a lustful manipulator, and an expert at playing the victim.
Lustful men are the worst kind, they chase bodies. They crave validation, not connection.
this is example, a man driven by lust has no depth, no loyalty, no peace, only an empty ego he keeps trying to fill through women he’ll never truly value..
I once dated someone who had this habit, whenever we had an issue, he’d just disappear. No communication, no effort to fix things. He would ignore me for as long as he felt like, and the only way we’d start talking again was if I reached out first.
But I began to notice a pattern. Every time we weren’t talking, something good would happen in my life.…new opportunities, small wins, unexpected progress. It was subtle at first, but it kept happening.
So the next time we had a problem, I decided to do something different. I didn’t text. I didn’t chase. I poured all that energy back into myself and my work instead(I had a job that kept me VERY BUSY).
And almost immediately, things started aligning again. Opportunities showed up. Doors opened. It felt really good.
A month later, he reached out….but by then, I was already in a completely different headspace. I had moved on. I had landed a better job with a better offer. In just one month of choosing myself, I had outgrown what once felt so hard to let go of.
I’m still not exactly where I want to be, but when I look back at who I was 3 years ago, this version of me would’ve felt impossible.
It really does get better.
If my daughter grows up one day, I would tell her before choosing a man, take time to understand how he was raised. His family background, the kind of father he has, how his father treats his mother. Because those things shape a man’s emotional and mental well-being, and they strongly influence the kind of partner he will become.
It’s not easy to change a man. And it’s not easy to find someone with empathy, emotional maturity, and common sense, unless he had good role models while growing up.
