@SandraRodkey Amen, sister - I don’t understand Platner’s popularity with democrats either.
God forbid he gets elected statewide. But the democrats who nominated him are morally bankrupt.
@EYakoby If a word of it were true, they would be republicans.
Not kidding, either. No republican wants socialism, or to get rid of the police or borders, or higher taxes, or to redistribute wealth, or is ashamed of the USA.
Everyone that does is a democrat; and so are these people.
@JoAnneSimonBK52 They were here on temporary invitation. That the invitation would eventually end was always known.
They were houseguests, not immigrants, and houseguests eventually have to go home; they don’t get to move in.
@canarymission The good news is, the disease is just too virulent. It will kiII its host before the invading force has enough time to gain wide support (read: outside the few very most leftist big cities).
I wonder if actual democrats will regroup into a smaller, 3rd party, or become GOPers.
@thestustustudio I wonder how long it will take for democrats to realize that the DSA is not the democrat party, it is a body-snatcher type virus that has infected it.
They had the sense to understand that a 3rd party would never gain traction, so they infected the democrats and took them over.
@KurtSchlichter That’s what a democrat would do, and they all know it.
Can’t blame them for thinking, why wouldn’t we as well; what else could they think?
We all necessarily, and for better or worse, assume others think like ourselves; it’s one of the more consistent problems of human nature.
@WesternLensman I totally understand their consternation; 5, 6 hundred thousand Haitians or so is basically a congressional district.
This will literally cost them a congresscritter. AT LEAST one.
@GovKathyHochul They followed a law that allowed them to be here TEMPORARILY. I understand some may have “built lives” here, but that doesn’t make it not temporary. They were always going to have to go back.
Maybe the whole concept of Temporary Protected is all wet. We should stop offering it.
@nettermike On reflection, if they do split off, passing the SAVE act would be a smart play on their part: you KNOW any illegals are going to skew towards the socialists. Any democrat who does with them would more likely be an American one.
@nettermike Their careers are as good as over.
Rhetorical question, though: do any of them support the SAVE act?
I suppose the party could split in two… if they they thought democrat voters would follow them rather than the socialists.
Gonna be an interesting couple years.
