(🏹) ~ Apologies for the inactivity! Creative block's been hindering me a lot lately, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things starting tomorrow!

[𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒄𝒓𝒚𝒔𝒕 @ArrowsofBrodia]

@IRONWALLAUTHOR currently, I'm not fit to protect anyone... I'm useless, really. But I want to change that! I've always favored a bow and arrow, but I could stand to be a bit more versatile on the battlefield..."

@IRONWALLAUTHOR "I'm so sorry if the request came across as sudden! You're free to tell me off if I'm being too much! But... I really admire you, Jade. Your immense physical and mental fortitude always enables you protect my brother without fail."

He pauses, fidgeting a bit.

"As it stands ->

Your advice from earlier... I can't exactly promise I'll be the best at heeding it... just thinking about forging bonds with others I'm not worthy of being around is enough to make my stomach churn... but I'll try. I have to... for their sakes!"

Alcryst's mouth gapes in astonishment; perhaps the two were more similar than he initially assumed!

"I'm so sorry for my impertinence just now. It's just... you sounded so much like myself there! I understand the feeling of comparing your efforts to those of an older sibling ->

"But that is why I must improve myself... for Diamant, for my allies, and for the people of Brodia! ->

(🏹) ~ I should be getting to replies tomorrow! Sorry about the wait, I just haven't been feeling my best!^^

@ElusianPrincess "The thought hadn't even crossed my mind...!

Though I understand how it may be difficult to reassure you given Brodia's track record..."

[𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒄𝒓𝒚𝒔𝒕 @ArrowsofBrodia]

long as I can remember..."

[𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒄𝒓𝒚𝒔𝒕 @ArrowsofBrodia]

Alcryst couldn't understand... why in the world would someone want to talk to him of their own volition? Especially after witnessing how pitiful he looked talking to himself!

Still, he wouldn't dare express his qualms; he certainly didn't want to seem disrespectful towards ->

"Ah! Please don't take that the wrong way! I'm in no way trying to discredit your advice! I'm merely expressing my concerns. You see... my thoughts have been this way for as ->

good can possibly come out of wasting your time with me. If I can't even utter a simple phrase without recoiling in disgust with myself, then there's truly no hope for me, I fear..."

[𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒄𝒓𝒚𝒔𝒕 @ArrowsofBrodia]

"I see..."

Leo's reassurance served somewhat well in alleviating Alcryst's initial anxieties; the Brodian prince's sunken posture slowly shifts as he dares to stand a bit taller than before.

"Still, I apologize for what you did manage to hear. I must have ruined your ->

to get my thoughts under control. But I'm afraid that my efforts have been fruitless thus far..."

Alcryst suddenly sighs heavily, meeting the other's gaze with a sullen look in his eyes.

"As much as I appreciate your offer, I wouldn't want to burden you. Besides, nothing ->
