Still can't get over the fact that I'm now the proud possessor of Cliff Bastin's England cap for the match played against Northern Ireland at Windsor Park on 14/11/1933. With thanks to @Gooner_AK for this and many other scans.
Bit of cheering up needed so here are a couple of cuttings from a match on this day in 1938 when Arsenal won the league by beating Bolton Wanderers 5-0 at Highbury.
The front cover of the Arsenal v Everton programme from 100 seasons ago. The long unbeaten run (almost 3 mths) had just come to an end and Everton were welcomed "No team in the country enjoys a greater reputation". 2 days earlier Arsenal won 4-2 at Goodison, this match ended 1-1.
