@RohanJivanAFC Probably the best post I've seen on this matter. Everyone is so fixated on the "resale value" he's a CM who can easily give us 3 years peak form and with how the market is these days we'll recoup back 20/30m if we did sell him a few years later. He's worth alot more as you said.
This deal would make sense on so many levels.
1. Global superstar with global reach
2. Income generated from shirt sales/sponsorships alone would be insane
3. Changes our trajectory as a club - More appeal for future stars to join, fear on and off the pitch
4. Its Vini Jr!!!!
🚨 EXCL: Arsenal exploring move to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid. #AFC interest early stage + clubs not yet in talks but idea approved at all levels. Much rests on contract process as no breakthrough yet & #RMFC do not want free exit @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/qYdS5vlfE6
Nico Williams…
As you are all aware he has been Arteta’s obsession for many moons now. Within the decision chambers at Arsenal this player is viewed to having “superstar” potential.
Let me cut to the chase though…
As reported, Andrea Berta has also held discussions with Félix Tainta (agent). It is my understanding Berta has received encouragement when discussing a variety of wage / bonus combinations. Talks are still at a very early stage but Nico is very open to joining Arsenal more than ever before.
The second and contrary to public opinion is the more difficult part… the release clause in the region of £50.6m. If you think Brighton’s Tony Bloom or Napoli’s De Laurentiis are tough negotiator’s then let me introduce you to their final boss version…Jon Uriarte the President of Athletic Club. When Barcelona attempted to offer instalments last summer, Deco received an emphatic NO. This is where in my opinion Berta will earn his money….
Paying £50.6m upfront in the modern era is an eye watering amount if you ask any football finance expert. Clubs will always try to spread costs but Arsenal have serious firepower this summer.
Can Andrea Berta engineer a successful Basque heist? That is the £50.6 million pound question.
More to follow soon.
Paris Saint-Germain do not need to sell Bradley Barcola — who is of interest to several Premier League clubs — after agreeing a huge deal for Goncalo Ramos to join Milan.
Barcola appears reluctant to sign a new deal amid lower game-time than he would like and he is pushing for more starts.
PSG feel the speculated market rate for Barcola, who is not for sale, is way off and he should be valued at a much higher price than the £116m Manchester City will pay for Elliot Anderson.
Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani are free to leave the French champions.

This is Arteta’s moment.
Yes, the squad’s been amazing.
Yes, the fans have been incredible.
Yes, the club’s owners stepped up big time last summer.
But it was this man’s vision, intensity, intelligence, courage and decisions that won us the League. Thankyou @m8arteta 🙏
I can’t describe my feelings right now… Football always gives back to those who keep believing.. To the fans who kept believing, you deserve this… Arsenal; the club that will stay in my heart forever, you deserve this… The players and everyone at the club who made it happen, you deserve this… Congratulations to the best club in the world ❤️ @Arsenal
