PHC in Aniocha North LGA vs PHC in Ikosi-Ketu LCDA, Lagos.
This begs the very same question I have been asking, and in the same breath, the answer I have been encouraging for so long. When exactly are we going to start holding our governors and LGA Chairpersons accountable, ask them questions about how they are spending our commonwealth, what are your representatives doing with all the huge monies they receive as Constituency Allowance, what are they doing?
It is not FG's duty to ask how Governors and LGA Chairpersons are spending their allocations, it is YOUR job. Everybody is fixated on Lagos, Ogun State and Tinubu, but neglect the atrocious things committed by the elected officials in their states.
How does one explain this hospital in 2026?
"In a world where everyone with a smartphone can claim to be a journalist, the standards of professionalism, accuracy, and integrity must never be compromised, freedom of expression is not freedom to defame."
- President Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Presidential Metering Initiative (PMI), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and other relevant stakeholders, to commence within the next 30 days a nationwide programme that will train 5,000 young Nigerians as meter installers and technicians.
The President announced the directive on Thursday in a post on his verified X handle, @officialABAT, describing the initiative, known as The Power Force, as a major step under his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to create jobs, close Nigeria’s metering gap and strengthen the country’s electricity market.
Tinubu said the programme would provide practical technical skills to young Nigerians while connecting them to employment opportunities in the power sector.
According to him, the initiative is designed to create jobs, equip participants with employable skills and restore dignity through productive work.
He explained that the opportunity would be open to eligible Nigerians who have completed their secondary school education, with a dedicated quota reserved for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The President noted that the Presidential Metering Initiative, which he established, was created to eliminate the country’s metering deficit, end estimated billing, protect electricity consumers and improve transparency within the power sector.
He stressed that expanding metering across the country would ensure that households and businesses pay only for the electricity they consume while improving revenue collection by electricity distribution companies.
