@PortantIssues @howisthewater @serbiaireland The law that allows auction houses to protect the names of consigners of art needs to change because it enables art theft and forgeries! Historians cannot trace provenance at auction houses because consigner names are concealed forever! This is dangerous and wrong!

Why should non-profit museums be legally able to cover up their knowledge that stolen art works reside in their collections? Isn't knowing about provenance & authenticity the right of museum audiences? All art theft is deplorable, not just by the Nazis. Artists' estates beware!
